Hello guys!

From today, I’ll try to start a new category.

I know It might not be enough to learn one sentence a day, but I’m not going to write only one sentence which means I’ll try to write some Korean culture and how to speak Korean politely, friendly as well.

Then, I’ll try my best.

I’ll show you some expressions as a sneak peek because It’s the first posting of this category.

  1. 안녕하세요. : annyeonghaseyo

    in English : Hello
This expression is a typical and polite one when you see someone.
When the one is a close person with you like friends or children, You can just say 안녕(annyeong). This is very casual expression.

  2. 식사 하셨어요? : siksa hasyeosseoyo?

in English : Did you have a meal?
This expression is a kind of cultural one. A meal is very important for Korean people, so you can add this expression after “안녕하세요”. 식사 means ‘meal’.

See you guys in the next post.

in Korean,

안녕하세요.

오늘부터 새로운 카테고리를 시작하려고 해요. 이름하여 ‘하루에 한국어 한문장’.

한국어를 배우기에 하루에 한문장은 부족할 수도 있어요. 하지만 단 한 문장만이 아닌 한국 언어 문화, 예의바른 표현, 친근한 표현 또한 써보려고 합니다.

그럼, 최선을 다해볼게요^^

오늘은 첫날이니 만큼 맛보기로 시작할게요.

  1. 안녕하세요.
    영어로 Hello
    이 표현은 기본적이고 예의있는 인사법이에요.
친한 친구나 어린아이들과는 그냥 안녕이라고 말해도 되요.
  2. 식사하셨어요?
영어로 Did you have a meal?
이 표현은 한국문화와 관계된 인사법이에요. 한국사람들은 식사를 중요하게 생각합니다. 그래서 “안녕하세요.” 뒤에 “식사 하셨어요?” 라고 붙이면 더 좋겠죠.

그럼 다음시간에 만나요~
